8 Differences Between Genuine And Fake People

by

Most people ask themselves at least once in their life whether a person they know is genuinely nice or they are just pretending. Fake people are so good at manipulating others that it is very hard to recognize their true intentions at first. Here are some of the things you should pay attention to when you meet new people, which can help you find our if they are fake or not.

1.Look out for all vs Look down on all

Genuinely good people will show equal respect to anyone they meet because first of all they respect themselves. They will never look down on anybody or feel superior to them, but they will neither feel inferior to anyone.

Fake people only show respect for those who they believe are powerful. They carefully choose who they want to communicate with, and those people are usually the ones that they might use some time in their life.

2.Hard to impress vs Easy to impress

True people are not that easy to impress because they have strong opinions and are very comfortable being themselves. They will always express their disagreement and they will never lie to you.

Fake people are the complete opposite of this. They will show you how impressed or happy they are just to get more appreciation from others. They think other people determine their value, so they are very likely to lie and pretend.

3.Comfortable in the shadow vs Need the light

Genuinely good people are always comfortable with spending time alone because they love their lives and don’t depend on anyone. They can enjoy being surrounded with people similar to them just as much as they enjoy being alone.

Fake people, on the other hand, always have the need to be in the center of attention and they are willing to do anything to be in the spotlight. This shows how shallow they are.

4.Humility vs Boasting

Good and genuine people won’t brag about their successes and achievements and they will usually keep those things for themselves. They are humble and don’t feel the need to tell everyone about what they have accomplished.

Fake people will use every chance they get just to talk about what they have done, or at least say what they have tried. They will seek any form of validation and applause.

5.To the face vs Behind your back

Genuine people will always be open to you and they will say what they mean to your face. They don’t have any hidden motives, and would rather discuss things with those they should instead of gossiping.

Fake people enjoy gossiping and they act like they are your friends but they will use every chance they get to talk behind your back.

6.Actions vs Words

Genuine people work hard to achieve their goals, and sometimes even twice as hard just to be sure they did all their best.

Fake people talk more and do less. They make empty promises even to themselves which are followed with bad excuses.

7.Honest opinion vs False praise

Honesty is very important to genuine people, and even though their opinion might hurt you, they will never lie to you. They appreciate the value of pointing out mistakes because they can help us learn and avoid repeating them in the future.

Fake people just want your validation so they will always praise you. However, they will tell their opinion behind your back. They feed themselves with your mistakes and will use every chance to criticize you just to make you feel bad.

8.Unconditional vs Selfish motives

Genuine people are honest to themselves and to others as well. They are willing to help you just as much as they are willing to help themselves. They will do their best to help you solve a problem or a risky situation and they will never feed on your sadness and misery.

Fake people will talk about how they might help you, but when the time comes they will not even show up, or if they do they will never stop bragging about it. Their motives are entirely selfish, so they will never do anything for you without expecting something in return.
