1. Lust to passion

Lust is an uncontrolled desire for something such as money, power, sex etc. It usually leads to various negative behaviors such as theft, sexual predators and others. However, if you learn how to control it, it can become passion. Passion can be used for relationships, work as well as the community and it can help you make a better world.

2. Gluttony to gastrophile

Gluttony involves eating too much, too soon, eating very expensive or rare foods as well as eating with too much pleasure and anticipation. If you control the excessive need to eat, you can become an excellent chef or winemaker. It is fine to enjoy foods and drinks but only in moderation. Avoid overdoing it and always try to lead a healthy life.

3. Lazy to rest

Laziness is the lack of desire to act. Lazy people would rather lay in bed and let others do everything for them. However, it is fine to be lazy sometimes, for example when you are injured or sick because your body needs time to heal. Nowadays we have very busy schedules that we often forget to stop and take a break. Take it easy and relax from time to time. Your body and mind will thank you.

Rage is an extremely destructive behavior which can have serious negative consequences. However, if you control it, it turns to anger which can actually be useful. You can anger at physical harm, mistreatments, injustice… Anger can be helpful if directed into a cause.

5. Narcissism to pride

Narcissism is a negative behavior which involves the opinion of being superior to others. It is okay to be proud of your accomplishments, as long as you don’t let it go to your head. Controlling your pride will teach you how to be proud of other people too. You can be proud of your family members or friends when they achieve something. Always be encouraging and supportive to others.

6. Envy to drive

Envy is the need to have what others have or the desire to see someone else fail. This is another destructive personality trait, but if you turn it into a desire to compete and succeed, it can be helpful. Drive will motivate you and give you the strength even when you feel the weakest. It can help you do things you didn’t even know you were able to achieve. Instead of being envious, focus more on improving yourself.
