12 Things To Never Say “I’m Sorry” For

by

Nowadays, people are constantly criticizing each other and the way they live their lives. However, you don’t owe an explanation to anyone when it is about your own lifestyle choices. If you are happy with how you live nothing else matters. This is why you should never apologize for these 12 things.

1.Making yourself a priority in your life

Some people think that if you are trying to make yourself happy you are a selfish and egoistic person. But the truth is that you are the person responsible for your own happiness. You can’t expect others to provide it for you. Nobody can teach you how to live your life, and you are the person who is entirely responsible for your life and needs. If we don’t help ourselves, we can never help others.

2.Following your dreams

If you want more in life it does not mean you are spoiled or ungrateful. If you are working hard to achieve that by yourself with your own dreams and goals, you are an ambitious person. Never settle for less than what you are capable of. People might consider you an unrealistic dreamer, but if you are determined to work towards something don’t let anyone stop you.

3.Making time for you

Nowadays, everything happens so fast and we often forget to take care of ourselves because we were too busy caring for others. Self-care is not selfish; it is a necessity. Never apologize for turning down an invitation because you need time for yourself.

4.You choose who to date

This is another decision that you must do by yourself. You are the one that makes decisions about who you want to spend your time with. If you really care for the person it does not matter what people think about your relationship as long as it is a healthy one. Those who think they can stand between your love life and you do not deserve to be around.

5.Expressing emotions

Emotion shaming is becoming so popular that people have learned to act like robots and avoid showing their feelings. No one can forbid you to express yourself. However, this does not mean you should cross the border and become aggressive or yell at everyone. There are limits for everything, but never bury your emotions because they can do more harm than good that way.

6.How you earn money

If you feel happy with your job you should never apologize for it regardless of how much money you make. If you feel fulfilled and satisfied and you are making enough to put food on the table, don’t allow anyone tell you that you are wrong.

7.Being optimistic

People sometimes tell us to expect the best but prepare for the words. Keeping your head up can be very difficult at times, but positive thinking can do wonders during the hardest times. It can teach you how to deal with challenges more efficiently.

8.Your past

If people bring up your past mistakes tell them that while they were criticizing your life you have grown as a person and learned from your mistakes. Our experiences and memories are what we carry our lives so nobody should make you feel bad about them. Our past does not define us because we learn while we are alive.

9.Your diet

People are experts when it comes to judging others and they always know everything. But they can’t know your body like you do. Others should never tell you how to eat and you shouldn’t either. Whatever your diet choice is, it is yours and only yours. You can’t force it to anyone and nobody can force something on you.

10.Striving for more in life

If you want more than you have and you want to achieve it, always work towards the things you desire. Never settle for less if you are sure that you can get it by working hard. You can be grateful for what you have and ambitious at the same time so never feel bad for this.

11.Challenging the mainstream

Some people are preoccupied with the lives of others that it makes the latter feel guilty for the way they live. Stay true to yourself and always be aware that if a person is threatened by your life they can also be jealous. Don’t let other people feed on your failures. If you have chosen a particular thing because you think it is convenient for you, no matter how much they try to convince you that you are wrong, you are right as long as you believe in it.

12.Your opinions

You don’t have to agree with a person in order to respect them. You can have different opinions and still appreciate that person for who they are. There are nice and polite ways to tell someone that you disagree even though your opinion is not so popular. If we keep our opinions to ourselves the world will never change, because opinions and viewpoints often create the best ideas.
