However, the really smart people will never try to be the center of attention and they are often difficult to recognize. 1. They are quiet
If someone talks a lot doesn’t mean they are smart. People with little knowledge will be the loudest in a group and they will try to pull others down by speaking too much. Truly intelligent people will remain quiet in such situations because they don’t think that person is worth proving wrong. The smartest people are often considered to be very shy and introverted. They think twice before saying anything because they want to be sure their words have meaning. Sometimes silence speaks more than words.
2. They are nocturnal
Intelligent people prefer spending more time staying up late at night because they are free from distractions and can easily focus on anything they do. They might watch documentaries, create art or read books. The night is the best time to let their creativity come to the surface.
3. Birds of a feather flock together
Intelligent people love spending time with people who have same interests as they do. They don’t have to be special people with PhD’s or anything, because intelligent people believe they can learn something new from everyone.
4. They face challenges
Intelligent people will never back up from a difficult situation because they will see it as a challenge they should overcome. They will keep trying no matter how difficult it is because they don’t want to give up on anything.
5. They are critical about themselves
Intelligent people take criticism very positively because they see it as a way of improving themselves. They look at things objectively even if it is something related to them.
6. Sky is the limit
These people also love evolving because they strive to reach perfection in everything they do. They want to improve themselves and do their best because they believe they should never stop learning and growing as a person.

Smart people are also very curious about everything and anything. They consider every situation as an opportunity to learn and they can easily focus on three different things at the same time.

Intelligent people like staying up to date with topics from all over the world. If they are not well informed about something, they will immediately do more research until they are familiar with all the facts and information.
9. They won’t show off
Even though they have vast knowledge about a lot of topics, they only share their knowledge if it is relevant to the topic of the conversation. They will never intentionally start a conversation just to be able to show off their intelligence.

Intelligent people know that there is no limit on their knowledge and they are always willing to learn more. If you are talking about something they are not familiar with, they will never hesitate to ask questions.
